Location: Doğa Derneği’s (BirdLife in Türkiye) main office is located in İzmir. Although the position is suitable for a hybrid working model, the candidate is expected to reside in and work from İzmir, Türkiye.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Restoration Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating large-scale ecological restoration activities in the Gediz Delta, one of Europe’s most important wetlands, in collaboration with national and international partners.
This position aims to:
- •Ensure the effective execution of the project in line with the approved work plan, budget, timeline, and targets,
- •Manage the coordination between national and international project partners, experts, consultants, public institutions, local stakeholders, and field teams,
- •Ensure that restoration, monitoring, community engagement, communication, and policy development activities progress in alignment with project goals and indicators,
- •Track the technical and administrative processes of the project; support the timely and high-quality completion of activities,
- •Coordinate the preparation and submission processes of technical and financial interim/final reports to be presented to funding organisations,
- •Conduct regular meetings, correspondence, and decision-making processes with local, national, and international partners and stakeholders,
- •Contribute to the tracking of the project budget, monitoring of expenditures, and coordination of related administrative processes,
- •Support the regular archiving and sharing of data, reports, publications, and visibility materials produced within the scope of the project,
- •Contribute to new fund development processes, project proposals, and international collaborations when necessary,
- •Coordinate field studies and meetings to be held in the Gediz Delta and other project sites.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- •At least 5 years of experience in project coordination, program management, or project management in national and/or international projects,
- •Experience in the management processes of large-scale and multi-stakeholder projects,
- •Command of project cycle management, budget tracking, reporting, and monitoring-evaluation processes,
- •Preferably knowledge and experience in the fields of ecological restoration, wetland management, biodiversity conservation, or nature conservation policies,
- •Tercihen ekolojik restorasyon, sulak alan yönetimi, biyolojik çeşitlilik koruma veya doğa koruma politikaları alanlarında bilgi ve deneyim sahibi olmak,
- •Experience working with international project partnerships and funding organisations is preferred,
- •Strong organisational, planning, time management, and prioritisation skills,
- •Competence in team coordination, communication, and problem-solving,
- •Experience in institutional representation, reporting, and official correspondence,
- •Work flexibility suitable for field studies and travel,
- •Experience in team and process management within a hybrid working model,
- •Effective use of Microsoft Office programs,
- •Possessing at least a driver's license and being an active driver,
- •Preferably a bachelor's degree in nature conservation, environmental sciences, biology, ecology, socio-economics, project management, or related fields; a master's degree is preferred.
